Andeo Novelli passed peacefully and suddenly on February 26, 2026. Devoted husband of the late Ann Novelli. Loving father of Christina, Theresa (the late Christopher) Perri, and Lisa Novelli. Adoring Pop-Pop to Andeo Novelli and Christopher G. Perri. Cherished son of the late Giulio Novelli and the late Lucia (née Falcetti). Beloved brother of Caterina (Alan) Langendorf, Mario, and the late Dominick . He is also survived by his loving sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Born in Rieti, Italy, Andeo came to America on January 26, 1956 — a young boy filled with love for life and adventure. He was a dedicated student, achieving perfect attendance throughout high school. His teenage years were spent exploring the swamps (now the Lakes at FDR Park), gathering on the corner with his buddies, and spending summers fishing in Margate before heading to Memories to celebrate a big catch. Everything changed when he met the love of his life, Ann. They married in 1976 and built a beautiful life together, raising three daughters. His girls were his world — as he proudly called them, “My Girls.” There was no limit to the love he had for them. Their happiness was all that ever mattered to him. And his girls adored him. They bragged to everyone about what a wonderful father he was. Andeo was a hard worker with an honorable work ethic. He loved South Philadelphia — the Italian festivals, the Mummers Parade, and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Philadelphia Flyers. But what he loved most were his Sundays: going to church with his family, then coming home to make a big pot of gravy while playing his favorite cassette tapes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli, and Andrea Bocelli. Summers were spent in Wildwood, at Bellmawr Lake, or at the annual Sunday pool party with the entire extended family, where he proudly served as grill master. Andeo was a man of few words, but when he spoke, he gave the best advice. His guidance was always simple and consistent: “Everything will work itself out.” “If you don’t agree with someone, keep it to yourself to keep the peace.” “Always work hard.” And our least favorite: “Don’t put the cart before the horse. He was a foundation of wisdom. His life was filled with helping others — family, friends, or strangers — it did not matter to him. He never complained. Never. To him, everything was a blessing. Anyone who knew Andeo knew him as a peaceful, patient, and loving man, filled with compassion and kindness — a gentle soul with a deep and enduring love for his family. He especially treasured his grandsons, his “buddies.” He will be deeply missed and forever loved by so many. In honoring Andeo’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. We trust that his spirit lives on in the love he shared and the lives he touched. Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate his beautiful life in their own personal and meaningful ways, holding him in their hearts, prayers, and cherished memories.
