Bill was a man who lived largely than life. He is someone that brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. There was never a conversation I had with Bill that didn’t end with me grinning ear to ear. When I was younger I was lost in a crowd alone, and terrified on 2nd street. Bill found me and walked me four blocks back to my family to make sure I was safe. While we were walking he stopped, shook hands and joked with every police officer he saw. I asked him why he kept stopping to talk to the police and he told me this. “Trish, make sure to always shake a cops hand and give him a smile, cause you never know when you’re gonna see them again!” And he laughed, smoked his cigar and made sure I got home safe.

Bill Sulpizio is one of best men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and the City of Philadelphia is a little less bright with him gone.
