RILEY

George of Reading, PA formerly of Philadelphia passed away suddenly January 29, 2023. George is survived by his sister Lilli Anne (Dan) Eggers, brother Chris Riley, nieces Kerri (Mike), Tara (Andrew), Linzi (John), Mya, Dana and Bria. And many other family and friends. He rejoins in heaven his father William, his mother Florence “Totsy”, brother Billy, sister Bonnie and niece Stacey.

Before becoming an electrician George pitched professionally in the MLB. After throwing 4 straight no hitters for South Philly High George “Heater” was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1974. He went on to play for the San Francisco Giants and Montreal Expos during his career. George’s success on the mound afforded him a lifetime of memories. George will be missed by all who loved him.

George was a devoted brother ot Lillianne (Daniel) Eggers, Christopher Riley, the late Billy Riley, and the late Bonnie Newsham.  Uncle of Kerri, Tara, Linzi, Mya, Dana, Bria, and the late Stacey.  Great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Friday, February 10^th, 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Stolfo Funeral Home, 2536 S. Broad St.  Internment private.
