According to Christian traditions, prayers help the soul of a loved one to leave the earth easily, as well as find their way in another world. On the 9th day there is a commemoration of the deceased, the prayer of his sins, as well as his blessing on the 40-day journey to Heaven. https://novenaprayer.com/2020/09/25/novena-for-the-dead/

A true Friend who always thought of others before herself. To me she was that special person who touches your heart and gave the best advice. She never hid her words and that made her so special to me. If you asked her then she told you straight up how she’d handle it. Always giving all she had ; that’s Momma Cass
I will miss you and always remember your strength and courage. I love you Cass
