Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Great Aunt and Friend
Marie Lucille (nee DiElsi) Fleming, age 93 of South Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 4, 2021.
Marie was a member of Saint Monica’s Church for 90 years. She began work as an AT&T long distance telephone operator then later as a switchboard operator for Holiday Inn Center City. She loved to dance to a good band and cook for family. Marie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. There was no limit to her love, kindness and care for others. She will be missed by everyone.
Devoted wife of the late Horace (Bud) Fleming.
Predeceased by her brothers Alfred (Joan) DiElsi, Samuel (Regina) DiElsi, Frances (Yolanda) DiElsi, sisters-in-law Margaret (John) Leidy and Mary Jane (James) Daley and her loving nephew Anthony DiElsi.
Survived by her daughter Karen (George) Fugok. Grandchildren Kimberly (Christopher) Connor and David (Jill) Fugok. Great grandchildren Lucille and James Connor. Nieces and nephews – Linda (DiElsi) McFalls, Margaret Leidy (George), Frank (Debi) DiElsi, Lois Leidy, Joan DiElsi. Great nieces and nephews Amy (Chris) Bratz, Tara McFalls, Robert (Lindsey) McFalls, and Frank DiElsi.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday 9:00 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 A.M. (ALL IN CHURCH) Saint Monica Church, 17th and Ritner Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19145. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marie Fleming’s memory to Saint Monica Church, 2422 S. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145 would be appreciated.

A great lady and a great loss. Rest In Peace, Marie. I hope that Sinatra is performing up there!
So sorry to hear about Marie. We always loved seeing her. She was a wonderful lady.
