Surprising to her family and coworkers, Carol transitioned to her heavenly home October14, 2021, resulting from sudden illness. Born October 25, 1953 in Philadelphia PA, Carol spent her life being of service to mankind. She attended St. Monica Elementary school and graduated High school from Melrose Academy.  Carol achieved an Associate Degree from Philadelphia Community College, and a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern University. She also achieved her Master’s degree from Widener University. She has been a counselor for EOF at Camden County College for almost 25 years.

Carol has a condo in South Jersey where she resided with her only child, her beloved son Chris Rosarto;however , for the last few years she has been living in South Philadelphia to care for her aging 94 year old Mother, Rose Rosarto. At Camden County College, Carol was highly respected by students and co-workers alike. Carol went the distance for her students. She was always available, giving much careful advisement to her students, and in many cases she gave lifechanging counsel to students in need. Carol consulted regularly with other college personnel in her work with non-traditional students and students with various disabilities. As a result, she has earned highest respectof her co-workers. She was in addition a friend and compassionate associate to both students and co-workers. Surely, she has earned her place in heavenly home.  She was looking forward to her  retirement in the near future. She will be missed so by the many colleagues, students, and family members who all loved her.

Carol’s steadfast respect and tireless support of students was well known at Camden County College. She served thousands of students over the years, and her students truly loved working with her. Colleagues throughout the College and the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) staff are all shocked and deeply saddened by this loss. Rest in peace Carol. You will be missed and mourned by many!

In my haste to Express my love and sorry for the loss of this unforgettable and beautiful lady, I neglected to thank the Lord for placing Carol in my path of life, and shareing her with me for as long as He did. And my deepest sympathy to the Rosarto family. To her son Chris, of whom she would be very proud., and her brother Bobbie, as both men opened their hearts and home to me in my darkest hours and moments of despair surrounding our tragic loss.of someone. Loved my many. I was treated like family and will forever remain grateful. God bless all.

Carol, I loved our long talks and the fond memories that came out of them. I was always amazed at your confidence and initiative. I never knew till today you achieved your Masters degree due to your humility, especially since you were so outgoing. When we would visit Grandmom and Grandpop down Carlisle Rick and I couldn’t wait to run up to ‘Aunt Roses’ to see you. I am in awe of how you raised your son Chris, worked your job, and attained those degrees. And for the past so many years you have been taking care of our favorite aunt Rose as she approached ‘cent anni’. You gave everyone your all and selfishly not much for you but a everlasting legacy that few will ever attain. I will miss you and our calls. I’m glad the last thing I said to you was “I love you”. Rest In Peace.

    ‘Unk’s’ son Eddie.

    Carol,
Thanks for being not only a wonderful coworker but a great friend. I will miss going out to the high schools together and always having a good laugh with you. You were always so positive and upbeat no matter what and everyone loved to be around you. I remember laughing with you not long ago about zoom and you having to call in because you couldn’t get the camera to work.
I know how special your son was to you and I pray for his strength so that he can get through this difficult time. I have a new guardian angel to pray to. Miss you xoxo May you rest in peace.
    Your friend,
    Melanie

I want to first express my condolences to Chris and the rest of Carol’s family and friends. I am so sorry to hear of Carol’s passing. As her mother’s social worker I saw how selfless and amazing she was over the years as a caregiver to her mother. I saw a woman who was deeply devoted to her son, and caring for her mother. It was inspirational to see the love, kindness and respect in which she cared for her mother over my 11 years working with her. As a person Carol was funny, smart, and always so much fun to be around. May God rest your soul Carol. You were beautiful inside and out.

    Carol,
You were truly one-of-kind. I feel blessed that we came together later in our lives to chat about our aging mothers, growing sons, and the angst of life.
There are people in life who are a burst of energy, effervescent, and glowing. That was you. You truly made the world a better place, especially as it pertained to your wonderful son Chris, your beautiful mother Rose, your beloved fiancée Gene, or your dear brother Bobby. Plus, all of your students, fellow academia colleagues, friends, and neighbors .
To me, Sunday mornings at 4:00 a.m. will never be the same. I’d catch you before you started your daily routine of bathing and feeding Aunt Rose, going for your two-mile run, then off to the aisles of Shop Rite.
I will miss you so much, you have no idea. I feel like I’ve been in suspended animation this past week. I keep wanting to pick up the phone and tell you all about all this craziness.
    But I cannot.
Sending you my love and prayers tonight, dear cousin. Give our loved ones in Heaven a kiss for me. May the Good Lord keep you in the hollow of his hand.

My condolences to Chris and the Rosarto family. I thank God for placing Carol in my life. We shared offices working closely together for over 10 years and regularly for the balance of years. Carol was one of the most caring, sweet and loving humans I knew. She LOVED her son Chris more than anyone! He is now an amazing young man and she would be so proud, Carol was also a dedicated, loving daughter. She was so funny and full of energy, always moving faster than light. Carol loved God and she loved to read and run in the morning. She was committed to her job and to her students. She gave 120% of herself to help them day in and out. I will miss her voice, our prayers together and our jokes. My heart hurts that she’s out of my life but she’s in the better place in Jesus’s loving arms. Praying for Chris and the family.🙏🏼🥰🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

  • Gene Rawlings October 22, 2021 12:42 am

My dear Carol, reminiscing about all the many good times we shared when we could go out to various stores and malls. A time when we could get a caregiver for your mother on the weekends. We would walk hand in hand, sometimes a passerby would stop us and say how it was nice to see adults seemingly so in love. We would smile and thank them, but not until I would spin Carol around and down with a whopping kiss. We laughed and went our way.
Other occasions we would go to my place and watch comedy movies, as we both loved to laugh. I always had a unique menu prepared, which I made or previously purchased. She always enjoyed and ate everything. We often shared a glass of wine neither one of us were much into drinking.

When a caregiving was hard to find, we spent time at Carol’s home with me doing things I knew she needed or wanted, but never asking for my help. I volunteered with no strings attached. What a joyous labor of love I gave to my beautiful lady numerous times. I hope I made her life a little better and safer, as she so deserved all the help she could get with so much going on in her
life. I could go on forever and still have much to say and regret not saying it, but she knew how much i loved her. That’s all that mattered, as I asked her many times, as she so willingly obliged, “just let me Love you”. Good night honey bun. I love you ❤🥰 xoxo

    My precious Carol
Although the 1st phase of our earthly and personal relationship ended recently, our 2nd phase is beginning through a Journal given to me by your loving cousin Melinda and her husband Bob. They are just 2 of your many family members that have welcomed me into your remarkable family and comforted me during these difficult times, eventhough they were grieving as well.

This 2nd phase of our relationship I’ll be communicating with you with words I’ll be writing in the Journal, in which will be about my life without you, our times together and my love and devotion to you. I know you will respond to my writings in someway, shape or form.

This 2nd phase will last until the 3rd and final phase, at which time we’ll be together again. I love you with all my heart and soul and will miss you so much until that time.

Rest In peace my beautiful lady xoxo ❤
