I’m going to miss Dennis. We knew each other since 1968. I was closer to Dennis then my own brother. My mother and father we’re always glad when Dennis could stop by. They loved him like a member of the family. I talked to him almost daily. He was my best friend. But it’s not surprising to find out that I’m not the only one who consider themselves as such. It’s humbling to understand the club you thought was exclusive has so many members. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Thank you so much, Rich. Dennis thought of you as a brother as well.
Dennis, God bless You, We were best friends growing up on 17th Street a lot of good times together.
We will miss You. Jerry, Eddie, Joseph , Mike , and Mari The Zavorski family
Dear Richard , Maria and families,
God bless you all. Dennis is now with the Angels in Heaven. I am so thankful that we all met at Poppi’s – doesn’t seem like that long ago – 2018. Dennis will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and blessings,
Carol and Skip
Our heartfelt prayers and love go out to the Caporiccio family. Rest in peace, dear Dennis. ~ Cindy & Paul Kohatsu
So long Dennis have a good journey home. I’ll miss you very much. I always considered you a good friend. I’ll miss our Saturday communications. LOVE YOU ALWAYS! Al Brown.
Dennis, it does not matter that I have not seen you since you visited me in San Francisco years ago. You made me laugh and it could have been yesterday. Rest in Peace and remember you were loved.
A gentle and artistic soul.
Good bye old friend
We were close friends once years ago then grew apart. But recently we revived our friendship if only through frequent texting. Which makes losing you all the more heartbreaking. Rest In Peace Brother and…….later..,
There’s a lot to admire about Dennis, first among them was his individuality. Dennis moved at his own pace, and his sense of humor ranged from downright silly to serious sarcasm. His movements and timely gestures were as funny as his observations. I first met him at the Spectrum Arena in 1973 as a member of the changeover crew. He was a member of the Amoroso, Leone, Lamendola, Zaborsky and Dee group from South Philadelphia. They had long hair, flannel shirts and a passion for the Grateful Dead. I’ll always remember Dennis with old-man sweater, flannel shirt, wire-frame spectacles, workboots and work gloves dangling from his denim trousers. He was funny.
Years later, I would often run into him at Community College while a student and later photographing news events. Our friendship was renewed on FB, during chat and messenger sessions. I was saddened to see him struggle with health issues, and even sadder to hear the news. In all, Dennis made people laugh. He made people happy, and you can’t ask for much more in life from a person who brought joy to the world.
“Keep on Truckin” Dennis and thanks for the laughs.
Saddened to hear of Dennis’ passing. I only knew him as a friend of my late father, Rick Gilbert, but he seemed to be a cool dude and had a good sense of humor. Rest easy.
