Kathleen “Coddee” Carroll, age 95 of Collingswood, formerly of Philadelphia, passed peacefully Friday, April 3, 2020. Beloved aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews and dear sister of predeceased Rose D’Auria, Miriam Boggs, and Jack Carroll. Kathleen lived all but the last years of her life in South Philadelphia in the house on Rosewood Street where she was raised. Following her graduation from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School, Kathleen worked at Bell Telephone for over 40 years as an operator and supervisor. During her retirement, she was an active member of the Pioneer Club for many years. Kathleen enjoyed spending time with family and traveling with friends. She was also a devout and dedicated member of St. Monica’s Church for most of her life. “Aunt Coddee” was devoted to her nieces and nephews, sharing many holidays and special occasions with them and never forgetting a birthday. All will miss her smiling face and wonderful memories of growing up in a sprawling family in South Philadelphia. There will be a private funeral (family members only) at St. Monica’s on Wednesday, April 8, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kathleen’s name to St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, 2422 S 17th St., Philadelphia, PA, 19145.
