AQUINO
Salvatore Antonio passed suddenly on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the age of 66.
He is of South Philadelphia. Beloved husband of Deborah (nee Faiella), his wife of 40 years. Loving father of Stefanie (Joseph) Wenzel, Michele (Michael) Ganas and Jennifer (Michael) D’Ulisse. Devoted “Pop Pop” to Taylor, Luke, Angela and Logan. Cherished brother to Nancy (John) Marsella, John (Michele) Aquino and Michael (Rose) Aquino. He was the loving son of the late Carlo and Virginia. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sal was born in Pietrafitta, Consenza, Italy in 1952, and he arrived in Philadelphia in 1958. He was a kind, thoughtful, and generous person, who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed cooking, hosting for the holidays, and taking his family crabbing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Sal took great pride in the businesses he co-founded; A&P Custom Kitchens and A&P Laminations. He was told by many that he had hands of gold because he was such a skilled craftsman. Sal was loved by everyone who met him.
His viewing is Wednesday 8:00am to 10:30am at the Stolfo Funeral Home, 2536 S. Broad St.
Funeral Mass 11:00am at St. Monica Church, 17th and Ritner Sts.

We are so very saddened to learn of this. Sal was a joy to be around. No wonder Steph is so sweet …two sweet and lovely parents. Praying that perpetual light shines upon Sal and all the members of his family.
Sal did have hands of gold but also a heart of gold. You will live in our hearts forever.
Love,
Peter and Maria Conicelli
